About AZnomics

Economics 101, teen edition.

Economics is usually taught as definitions to memorize โ€” supply and demand curves, GDP formulas, terminology with little connection to how any of it plays out in real life. AZnomics teaches the same core ideas differently: as decisions you make, with real consequences, rather than facts you recite.

It's built for students who are taking or preparing for an introductory economics or personal finance course โ€” and for teachers looking for a supplementary resource their students will actually want to open.

What's here

  • ๐ŸŽฎ Play & Build โ€” four interactive simulations: run a small business for a year, control interest rates as Fed Chair through a four-year term, price a startup's IPO, or invest $50,000 across 20 years and try to beat the S&P 500.
  • ๐ŸŒ Global Economies โ€” profiles of 34 countries across six continents: GDP, inflation, trade, geopolitics, and a live news feed for each one.
  • ๐Ÿ“š Stories & Crashes โ€” five major market crashes explored through interactive charts, plus historical turning points and stories of market manias and meltdowns.
  • ๐Ÿง  Learn โ€” short video lessons across macroeconomics, markets, banking, geopolitics, and more.

Students build economic intuition through consequences they experience directly โ€” watching a simulated business succeed or fail based on their own decisions, or seeing an interest-rate call trigger a recession โ€” rather than through memorized definitions.

AZnomics is free, requires no account, and collects no personal data. Open it and start โ€” there's nothing to sign up for.
